Child Dancing

  Winter 2008 / 2009

Take 17 children and 3 adults from Uganda; 50 UK venues; a host of willing volunteers; over 4,000 tickets sold, add an immeasurable amount of prayer, willing volunteers, several “uncles and unties” and you have the recipe for a successful first tour of the choir from Kampala Children’s Centre.

As the tour has now drawn to a close and we pause to reflect, we have so many to say ‘thank you’ to.

The children were amazing, where do they get all that energy from? The adults who travelled with them from Uganda have been challenged and developed by the trip. The folks from the UK who gave time to travel with the choir were outstanding in their commitment to the whole venture.

We give thanks for a truly amazing first trip for the choir, which stands us all in good stead to be considering how the choir can now develop and what tours they should do in the future.

At each place the choir received a fantastic welcome, and they were well looked after by those who hosted them in venues and homes. Already we have heard many encouraging testimonies from some lives of those the choir met and performed to and we hope to hear more good reports in the coming weeks and months.

THANK YOU to our partners in UK, Uganda and Belgium who invested so much time, energy, prayer and organisation to make it possible.

Much love,
Arnold Muwonge
