I joined the tour in Liverpool at the Hope Centre, delighted to see the children again, and become part of the team. So many people were touched and encouraged by the children and the way the evenings went, so many people left the venues with huge smiles on their faces knowing they had heard good news that evening.
One of my highlights was on Halloween in Blackpool where the show and the audience were uplifted by the love of God and a light shone brighter than the illuminations!
Clitheroe was a fantastic venue with 4 TV cameras and a media centre recording the concert for a possible DVD release early next year.
It was very emotional having the children at my church at King’s Way on the 2nd November. Having built the first house and bought the first few acres of land, there was a lot to celebrate, with plenty of tears (of joy!) and fantastic worship that morning.
More concerts followed with our good friend Michael Harvey in Delph and a few new contacts were made with groups wanting to get behind the project, Colwyn Bay followed and then back to Manchester for South Manchester Family Church service and finishing with a big concert with 360 people attending in Sale on the 11th November.
Well was it all worth it? A BIG YES! Wow the children worked hard and put in a great amount of effort and enthusiasm. To think of their backgrounds and to see them reaching for their goals in life makes everything worthwhile. I am sure everyone who was part of this tour recognised the quality and substance of Destiny Africa and the work at Kampala Children’s Centre
……I can’t wait for the next tour! ……… |
